Morgan Harper Nichols is an Atlanta based autistic artist, poet, and musician whose work is inspired by stories, conversations, and everyday life. She sees art making as a way to connect with others, stay curious, and grow in empathy. In 2017, Morgan started a project in which she invites people to submit their stories to her website. From there, she creates art as a response to their stories and sends it to them before sharing the work publicly. All stories and names are kept private, with the fruit of the project shared daily on social media, in publications, and in various creative collaborations.
In 2021, Morgan was diagnosed with autism and ADHD at age 31. As an advocate for neurodivergence and mental health, Morgan is currently the Vice President of the board of directors at TWLOHA (To Write Love on Her Arms).
